Chamomile Tea Benefits

Chamomile tea benefits cover classifications from A to Z, from head to toe, from youth to old age.

# Which herbal remedy can you safely use for your baby’s bath, rash or constipation?

Chamomile is one of the first herbs that I remember. Chamomile tea is the first tea my mother gave me, and which, in my turn and I gave my daughter.

In the first months of her life, I added chamomile and calendula tea to her daily bath.
When she was about 5 weeks old she got a rash on her face. I prepared a concentrated infusion of chamomile and calendula and I washed her face with a cotton ball soaked in infusion. In a couple of days the rash cleared.
I also turned to chamomile tea benefits when my daughter, Roxana, had alternating episodes of constipation and diarrhea.

# Does your stomach hurts? Which safe natural remedy should you choose for gastritis, colic or diarrhea?

Chamomile is highly effective in all diseases of the stomach and intestines. The explanation lies in the fact that Chamomile flowers volatile oil contains azulene and apigenin (a flavonoid glycoside) which have antispasmodic, anesthetic, disinfectant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Gastritis. Because of all these qualities, chamomile tea soothes stomach muscle spasms caused by gastritis and colitis accompanied by colic.
My father drinks chamomile tea for his ulcer and for all his stomach grievances, such as bloating, flatulence, indigestion or heartburn. Usually, he drinks chamomile tea in combination with Marigold. This combination makes the best anti spasm sedative.
Colic. Give chamomile tea, along with anise and fennel, to children to relieve colic and help gas removal.
Diarrhea. Chamomile tea works best if you combine it with Peppermint for diarrhea and nausea.

# How to ease allergies and asthma in children with this herbal remedy?

The azulene in the chamomile oil also improves some allergic states or asthma in children and also in adults.

An easy and safe way to use chamomile for asthma and allergies is to make steam inhalations. Inhalations are recommended in sinusitis too.
Do the inhalations before bedtime because the volatile oil from chamomile has a calming action on the central nervous system. A cup of chamomile tea also helps if you can’t sleep at night.

# How to use Chamomile to alleviate menstrual pain, toothache, earache or neuralgia?

Menstrual Pain. Chamomile tea has been long used for calming pain. Combine Chamomile with Marigold and Lady’s mantle to enhance the chamomile tea benefits.

Toothache. Gargle with chamomile tea to relieve toothache pain.
Earache. Chamomile is an earache remedy used both for ear washes, as well as in poultices, to alleviate the pain.
Put
dried chamomile flowers in a small gauze bag on a heated cover over a steam bath. Apply the chamomile poultice on the painful ear and keep it for 10 minutes. Repeat 2 times a day.
Neuralgia. In case you suffer from neuralgia (pain in one or more nerves) drink a cup of chamomile infusion sweetened with honey or do massages with chamomile oil.

# How to ease hemorrhoid pain with these herbal remedies?

Chamomile is an ideal natural hemorrhoid treatment because it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Chamomile tea is recommended internally as well as externally (sitz baths, compresses and ointment).

For internal treatment, prepare an infusion from 1 teaspoon of dried flowers in 200 ml of boiling water and drink 2-3 cups daily after main meals. You can also apply local compresses with chamomile infusion (2 tablespoons of dried flowers in a cup of boiling water). For daily hygiene alternate sitz baths with Chamomile and Marigold infusion.
You will find Chamomile, Saint John’s Wort and Chestnut in most balms for postpartum hemorrhoids because they are safe herbs for breastfeeding.

# Is there a simple and natural way to clean the face without any cosmetic products?

One of the most used chamomile tea benefits is actually a steam inhalation. Do steam inhalations with chamomile to remove the toxins from your skin and deep clean your pores

  • Boil 1 liter / 35 oz water in a large pan, add a handful of chamomile flowers and let steep for 5 minutes.
  • Bend over with your eyes closed, approximately 8 to 10 inches from the pan. Use a large towel to cover your head and the pan so that the steam stays inside.
  • Inhale the steam for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Splash cool water on your face to close the pores.

If your skin is wrinkled, irritated, congested or dry, you can also use chamomile infusion compresses.

# How to regain the blonde hair reflexes with this natural treatment at home?

It’s as simple as a hair rinse with chamomile infusion. Your hair will become softer and will regain its golden reflexes. As a bonus, it will strengthen fine or split hair.

Boil 2-3 cups of water and then put 2 tablespoons of chamomile flowers. Let them boil for another 20 minutes.
You can wet your hair with the tea. After shampooing, rinse with normal water and then with the rest of the tea.
